Tönning & Region
UNESCO Wadden Sea, historic harbour, Eider barrage, day trips to St. Peter-Ording and Büsum — the North Sea region around Tönning has it all.
Right outside the door
The small town of Tönning, once a fortress town in the 17th century, today is an officially recognised spa town — and enchants with its historic harbour and the wide Wadden Sea landscape. Outside our front door begins the largest connected mudflat area in the world: the UNESCO Wadden Sea World Heritage Site.
The maritime climate of the North Sea has a positive effect on chronic respiratory conditions and overall wellbeing. The salty air, the wind, the wide horizon — a holiday here is both physically and mentally restorative.
